Colleen Wall grew up in New Milford, CT and moved back as an adult after completing college and her dietetic internship in Pennsylvania. Colleen worked as a bilingual customer service representative for a year and a half after graduating with a degree in French, before deciding to go back to school to study Nutrition. She always enjoyed reading and learning about health and wellness but had not considered it as a career path. Colleen got a job in the Registrar’s Office at Muhlenberg College to pay for her continued education. This was a position that she held for just over six years. Before joining the Healthy Weighs Wellness Center team as an Associate Dietitian in July 2014, Colleen did substitute teaching in the New Milford Public Schools, per diem work as a dietitian at Sharon Hospital, and part-time work as a dietitian at New Milford Hospital. When not working at Healthy Weighs Wellness Center, Colleen enjoys spending time with her husband, Jim, and two sons, Cameron and Spencer.
Colleen strongly believes in the concepts of ‘everything in moderation’, mindful eating, and intuitive eating. Unless a medical condition warrants a change, Colleen prefers to leave all desired foods in meal plans. Colleen feels that unnecessary restrictions will only lead to more problems later. Colleen loves being part of the Nutrition team at Healthy Weighs Wellness Center and actively participates in teaching in our Nutrition, Functional Medicine, and Integrative Medicine Residency program.
